What's Coming Up?
Hello Good Shepherd Hikers! Our next hiking adventure is Thatcher Park North Trails on Sunday, October 19, 2025. We. We meet at 1 PM at the North Trails parking lot on Old Stage Road. Richard will attach a map of the area since there are several trailheads in this area.
This will be a loop hike of about three miles to High Point Cliff and Hang Glider Cliff, where we will have great views. These trails are usually dry, with some ups and downs, but nothing significant.
It is hunting season, so consider wearing bright colors. The current forecast is for sunny skies and temperatures in the 60s.

Directions to Thatcher Park North Trails:
From Altamont:
Take Route 156 west. Turn left on Old Stage Road. The parking lot (a small one, so car pooling is a good idea) will be on your left about a mile in. If you get to Carrick Road, you have gone too far.
