THE GIVING CIRCLE - Midwife Project: Sustaining Donor - This organization is founded on the principle of neighbor helping neighbor and community helping community. We believe that compassion knows no borders and that we all have a duty to help each other in this community and beyond
CODE BLUE SARATOGA- SHELTERS OF SARATOGA - Provides shelter, sleeping accommodations, meals, and essential supplies to individuals who are homeless during hazardous winter weather.
KIDS IN ACTION- Money is used for Good Shepherd Youth to do service projects throughout the year.
THE CENTER FOR HOPE The organization provides resources to educate, assist, and support families and friends in coping with the pain and uncertainty of a missing person.
BH/BL SUMMER LUNCH PROGRAM— We contributed financial support to The Assembly of Churches, which provides summer lunches to BH/BL students whose families lack the resources to provide meals. It is a Monday-Friday six-week program.
GOOD SHEPHERD'S BLESSING BOX- We provided financial and goods support to our local food pantry (outside).
BETHESDA HOUSE & BOOTH HOUSE— We provided financial support to these organizations. They reach out and care for the chronically homeless and disabled adults in Schenectady. They provide housing, food, and social services.
JOAN NICOLE PRINCE HOME—We provided financial support to Joan Nicole Prince Home in Scotia, NY. The home provides 24-hour bedside care for two terminally ill patients in a homelike environment.
WAVE RIDER/CAMP ERIN -We provided financial support and Quilts for Camp Erin, a free weekend bereavement camp for children ages 6‐17. Wave Rider provides a weekly support group for grieving families and children ages 3-17.
Global Refugee Services - we support and empower immigrants, asylum seekers, and refugees who are rebuilding their lives in the United States and rebuilding if they are resettled to their original homes. See Global Refuge for more information.
Operation Adopt a Solider - This organization's primary goal is to provide a sense of home to soldiers and make them feel as comfortable as possible through care packages, gifts, letters, phone cards, and more. We provided financial and product support so the organization could send out packages.
Youth of Good Shepherd (Kids in Action) made gift easter bags for the Easter Brunch at City Mission.
Youth of Good Shepherd (Kids in Action) helped make paracord lanyards for soldiers through Operation Gratitude.
Good Shepherd collected 1107 pairs of socks-proceeds donated to:
A small group of Good Shepherd members provided dinner and dined with the men and women living in the homeless veteran men's shelter called The Vet House and The Guardian House for women veterans.
Good Shepherd donated 25 Boxes of books to the Saratoga Children's Literacy League, a non-profit organization that serves the children of Saratoga County by providing them with free books regardless of income level.
Crop Walk: Good Shepherd members received donations per mile and participated in a group 3-mile walk. The proceeds went to provide meals for those in our community who need them and support programs that create greater food security in communities all around the world (chickens for a family, water filters for a home, and home gardening).
